AH Global is a virtual social media marketing and PR firm with our team spread across 5 continents, in 12 countries, speaking 11 languages. (see www.ahglobal.com). AH Global is seeking candidates who are interested in a one-semester unpaid internship. We will begin training for our spring internship on Wednesday January 11th. We will accept candidates on a rolling basis until all available positions are filled. The program will run until Wednesday May 16th 2013. There is also the possibility to continue as a paid part-time employee afterward, if mutually agreed upon.
The ideal candidate must be able to work approximately 15-20 hours per week and will work from wherever s/he can access the internet. We are looking specifically for candidates that would be available to work Monday through Friday during the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. eastern standard time. Due to the part time nature of this position the days, and the specific hours therein are flexible. Although our business reaches the farthest corners of the globe, our management team works primarily on the east coast of the United States.
Our clients consist of well known commercial brands, small non-profit organizations, start-up companies, and advocacy groups. Someone with an interest in public relations may be the ideal candidate, but we are also interested in your strong communication skills and not so much in your major or graduate focus. High-level written and conversational fluency in English as well as a foreign language is an asset.
As a small, virtual company, all work is by necessity collaborative. Interns frequently will have the opportunity to work on projects with top-management. Tasks will include: writing for our blog, Marketing Conversation; research and preparation of presentation materials; quality assurance; report writing; and include direct participation in our campaigns on behalf of our clients.
